[2023/10/19 15:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: This last pathway comes to a tower, three stories high, with a rope dangling from the top of the tower. Plaintive cries can be heard from the tower: "Save me, save me!"

[2023/10/19 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: The rope is... rope. Straight forward plaited hemp, tied round a crenellation at the top. There is indeed a door, which looks like it could open reasonably easy, with a large crude iron padlock keeping it shut.

[2023/10/19 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: As you fiddle with the lock, a small needle shoots out, -narrowly- missing sticking into your fingers. The lock clicks... and stays locked. Guess it's a bit harder'n you first thought, in addition to being trapped!

[2023/10/19 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: A look at the hinges show some rust and a bit of warpage. Since subtlty is now ruled out, the plan b of Leesha Smash is a possibility.

[2023/10/19 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Inside the first chamber of the tower: There's a fireplace with a picture of a frog on a lilypad over the fireplace, an armchair with a skeleton sat in it and a small table with some half-finished knitting on it (a scarf). There's four pedastals in the room, one has broken shards of pottery about it and a hole in the plinth that appears to be a pipe leading down, the other three plinths had statues of lizards that are rearing up with their claws outstretched and mouths open.

[2023/10/19 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: The intact statues face the centre of the room. There are three, with four pedastals, the unoccupied pedastal has a hole, over which a lizard would be placed.

[2023/10/19 16:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: ...and then it gets worse, because, of course it does. There is a lot of the gray haze or gas coming out of the hole now, and the three intact lizards are "breathing" a steady stream of green gas. It smells bad, not surprisingly you'll be saving vs poison next session... Oh. And the skeleton rises up and turns to face you, and that, adventurers, is tonights' cliffhanger!
